Use Degree Navigator Advisor to search for a student using the available student search fields, including Rutgers ID and other supported identifying information. Access is limited to authorized users.
Review the Degree Navigator Advisor Access page for the authorization process and the link to the established access request. The required DocuSign agreement must be completed before access can be processed.
Exception access is based on departmental responsibilities and authorization for designated programs. Advisors who receive exception access should complete the Degree Navigator Departmental Advisor Training.
Your Degree Navigator role may provide view access without exception access. Exception permissions are separate and are limited to authorized users.
Exception access is program specific. Advisors may only enter exceptions for programs included in their authorized access.
Detailed instructions are provided in the six Degree Navigator Departmental Advisor Training videos and the Degree Navigator Departmental Advisor Training Guide that accompanies them. Advisors should use the appropriate exception type and document approved exceptions in Navigate360.
Confirm the approved program requirement with the academic department. If Degree Navigator does not reflect the approved curriculum, contact Degree Navigator support so the programming can be reviewed.
Review the requirement, course, program version, and any existing exceptions. If the audit still appears incorrect, contact the department responsible for the program or Degree Navigator support.
