Program changes are programmed in DN Test before they are moved to the Production environment. Departmental review is an important part of the update process and helps confirm that Degree Navigator accurately reflects the approved curriculum.
DN Advisor Test Site
Departments and authorized advisors reviewing Degree Navigator programming in the Test environment can access the DN Advisor Test Site at: https://dn6testadvisor.rutgers.edu
What Departments Should Review
- Program title and effective term.
- Required courses and course sequences.
- Credit totals and minimum credit requirements.
- Course categories and elective lists.
- Options, concentrations, or tracks when applicable.
- Requirement wording and notes.
- Course reuse or distribution rules when applicable.
- Sample student audits or test scenarios that demonstrate the requirements are behaving as expected.
Reporting Corrections
Departments should report any differences between the approved curriculum and the programmed Degree Navigator requirements during the review period. Include the program, effective term, requirement involved, and a clear description of the correction needed.
Final Confirmation
Once review is complete and corrections have been addressed, the program can be prepared for Production programming during the applicable update window. Departments should complete a final review after the Production update when requested.
