Degree Navigator Advisor Access
Degree Navigator Advisor is available to authorized Rutgers faculty and staff who require access to student degree audits as part of their official responsibilities.
Access is assigned based on job responsibilities and the programs or student populations an advisor supports.
Who Should Request Access?
Degree Navigator Advisor access may be appropriate for faculty and staff who advise undergraduate students, review student degree progress, review major or minor requirements, or enter approved exceptions for designated academic programs.
Types of Access
Degree Navigator access may include the ability to view student audits and academic information. Advisors with additional authorization may also receive access to enter exceptions for designated programs.
Exception access is based on departmental responsibilities and requires appropriate training.
Access Process
Degree Navigator access requests are submitted through the established Rutgers access process. Once the request is initiated, the user will receive a DocuSign agreement as part of the authorization process. The required agreement must be completed before access can be processed.
Users who will enter Degree Navigator exceptions should also complete the Degree Navigator Departmental Advisor Training.

Departmental Advisor Training
Advisors who are responsible for entering approved Degree Navigator exceptions should complete the training materials before using exception access. The training covers requirement exceptions, category exceptions, course and credit adjustments, program versions, notes, and Navigate360 documentation.
