Degree Navigator programming is completed during established update periods each academic year. Departments should plan approved curriculum and program changes around the published update schedule whenever possible.
Degree Navigator programming occurs after curriculum changes have completed the appropriate approval process. Curriculum proposals and approval requests should continue to follow the procedures established by the individual school or the appropriate university curriculum office.
2026 to 2027 Update Schedule
Winter Update Window
January 4 to January 15, 2027
This update period is intended for approved program and curriculum changes that need to be programmed before the start of the Spring 2027 semester. Spring classes begin January 19, 2027.
Spring Supplemental Update Window
February 1 to February 12, 2027
The supplemental window begins after the Spring 2027 Add Drop period, which ends January 28. This period provides time to address approved changes or follow-up items that could not be completed during the January update period.
Summer Update Window
June 1 to August 13, 2027
The summer update period is the primary programming window for approved changes in preparation for the upcoming academic year. Departments should plan for sufficient time for programming, testing, departmental review, corrections, and final Production updates.
How Curriculum Changes Reach Degree Navigator
Curriculum changes must first complete the appropriate school and university approval process. Degree Navigator does not serve as the curriculum proposal or approval system.
Once an approved change is provided to Degree Navigator staff through the established school or university process, the change is scheduled for programming during the appropriate Degree Navigator update window.
Corrections Outside an Update Window
If Degree Navigator does not accurately reflect an existing approved requirement, contact Degree Navigator support so the issue can be reviewed. Corrections to existing programming may be handled outside the regular update schedule when necessary. New curriculum changes should generally be programmed during the appropriate update window after the required curriculum approvals are complete.
