Degree Navigator is Rutgers University’s undergraduate degree audit and academic planning system. It helps students and advisors review degree requirements, academic progress, and undergraduate programs.
Current Rutgers undergraduate students can access Degree Navigator using a valid Rutgers NetID and password. Use the Student Login link available throughout this site.
Yes. You can search undergraduate programs and run planning audits to see how your coursework may apply to another program. Exploring another program in Degree Navigator does not officially change your major or minor.
Major and minor declarations are managed through the procedures established by your school and academic department. Degree Navigator displays program information but does not process major or minor declarations.
A degree audit may contain separate components for school or general education requirements and for majors, minors, certificates, or other academic programs. If the programs displayed do not match your official record, contact your school’s advising office.
Degree Navigator applies courses according to the rules programmed for each requirement. Current coursework, grades, program versions, course reuse rules, and other conditions may affect how a course is applied. If you believe a course should satisfy a requirement, contact the department responsible for the program or your academic advisor.
Contact the academic department responsible for the program. If the requirement does not reflect the approved curriculum, the department can work with Degree Navigator support to review the programming.
My Course List displays coursework and other academic information available to Degree Navigator. It may include Rutgers courses, transfer credit, test credit, placement information, and other records used by the degree audit system. Degree Navigator is not an official transcript.
When planned coursework is used, Degree Navigator can show how a future course may apply toward degree requirements. Adding a planned course does not register you for the course and does not confirm that the course will be offered. Use the Schedule of Classes and WebReg for official course availability and registration.
Program changes may require time to appear in the systems that feed Degree Navigator. If your official program change is not reflected after the normal processing period, contact your school advising office.
Degree Navigator access depends on your Rutgers status and authentication. Visit the Troubleshooting page for guidance. NetID or password problems should be directed to Rutgers IT Help Desk.
Degree Navigator is used for undergraduate degree audit programs. Graduate program requirements are not maintained in the Degree Navigator system.
